ROYAL OAK, Mich. (Aug. 1, 2024) – After more than 20 years as co-owner of Galloway and Collens, LLC, T. Scott Galloway is pleased to announce his partnership with Brian D. Hommel. Both attorneys recently left their former firm to focus their efforts on real estate law. The new firm, located in Royal Oak, is aptly named Galloway & Hommel, LLP. Galloway and Hommel have extensive experience with real estate litigation, boundary line disputes, real estate brokerage law, commercial and residential transactions and commercial lease negotiations.
Existing Galloway and Collens real estate clients will continue to receive legal services provided by Galloway and Hommel, with assistance from their paralegal, firm administrator and former Realtor, Michele Willoughby. The Galloway & Hommel, LLP team has a combined sixty years of experience helping clients navigate their legal and real estate matters.

Galloway, a Pleasant Ridge, Michigan resident, has been practicing law since 1994. He received a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Indiana School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. Galloway is an active member of the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors (GMAR) and the Birmingham-Bloomfield Women’s Council of Realtors. Throughout his career, Galloway has repeatedly been recognized by his peers as a top real estate attorney in dBusiness and SuperLawyers magazines. Realtors also recognize Galloway’s service to their profession by repeatedly naming him strategic partner of the year and elevating him to positions of leadership within their organizations.
A member of the State Bar of Michigan since 2019, Hommel joined Galloway at his prior law firm while he awaiting his bar exam results. As an associate attorney, Hommel practiced real estate law and has significant experience working with property management companies and resolving real estate title issues for his clients. In his five years as an attorney, Hommel quickly made a name for himself and was recognized as one of the area’s best real estate attorneys by dBusiness magazine and as a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers magazine. Hommel, a resident of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in criminology and sociology with a minor in social justice from the University of Windsor and a Doctor of Law from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
