Mediation

T. Scott Galloway is now offering his services as a General Civil Mediator with an emphasis on the mediation of real property disputes including contested boundary lines, adverse possession and acquiescence claims, and disputes arising from both commercial and residential transactions.

Scott has been recognized by SuperLaywers, dBusiness, and other publications as a top real estate attorney; he is the current vice-chair of the Oakland County Bar Association Real Property committee, a past contributor to ICLE, and regularly teaches continuing education to real estate professionals.

As an attorney and city councilperson Scott has spent much of his 30-year professional career mediating and resolving challenging and emotionally charged disputes between individuals and businesses. His gentle presence puts the parties at ease and facilitates communication in a manner intended to guide the parties to a fair, equitable, and timely resolution of their conflict in a cost-effective manner. Mediation is especially well suited to resolving disputes between adjoining property owners since, in most instances, the parties will remain neighbors after the immediate matter is resolved. An agreement reached by the parties, rather than one imposed upon them by a court, has a greater likelihood of creating the peace that neighbors generally seek.

The offices of Galloway and Hommel can make a long day of mediation a bit easier with multiple conference rooms, additional space for breakout discussions, kitchenettes, handicap-accessible restrooms, and on site and free street parking available. Our office is located just north of I-696 on Main Street in Royal Oak and is close to many nearby restaurants.

If you are working to resolve a dispute that would be a good fit for Scott’s services, please reach out to us to discuss how we might be of assistance.
